@ItsSouthReindeer  You can repair through the EA App too.  First, please clear its cache:

Then open your game library, hover over the Sims 4 icon, click the three dots, and select Repair.

If that doesn't help, please remove your existing Mods folder and start the game to generate a new one.  Install a fresh copy of one mod that's confirmed compatible with patch 1.95, but nothing else, and see whether the game still loads.

When you say all your progress is gone, do you mean your saves are missing?  If so, please also let me know whether your saves appear in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > saves.  Otherwise, please describe the issue you're seeing in more detail.
