Steam Pack Glitch

I was just playing with a Sims 4 infant and realised that I need the Growing Together pack installed to make half these things work properly. So, I closed my game and clicked the checkbox in Steam to download the pack because I’ve already got it. However, it didn’t say it was downloading. Instead, all I’m seeing is the green play button where it should say installing. Sure enough, I opened my game and the pack was not there. It still says “Download To Use”.

  • ShinyLeaves  Please restart your computer and try again to install the pack.

If that doesn't help, make sure it's not already installed but in the wrong location.  Open a File Explorer window, click This PC in the left panel, and enter EP13 in the search field in the upper-right corner.  When the search is finished, and this may take some time, you should see at least one result, hopefully more like three.  Expand the File Explorer window sideways until you can see the full file path for each result.  Then use Windows key-shift-S to take a screenshot, and post that screenshot here.

Please also let me know whether you're currently launching Sims 4 through Steam or the EA App.  It sounds like Steam, but I'd rather be sure.

Thanks so much for trying to help but I don’t see EP13 (Expansion Pack 13) under my Sims 4 Folder. Am I doing something wrong? I believe it’s not installed.

  • ShinyLeaves  Don't look for it, run the Windows search I described.  If Sims 4 itself is installed anywhere on your computer, you WILL get at least one result, again provided the search runs to completion.
