Re: Packs won't show up in game

@PlainSimpleAimie  If you have the CAS Demo installed, please see this thread:

https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues-PC/EA-App-claims-packs-are-installed-yet-they-are-not/td-p/12126024

Otherwise, please run searches for two or three of your missing packs.  Open a File Explorer window, click This PC in the left panel, and enter the folder name for one of the missing packs in the search field in the upper-right corner.  This is the full list of packs:

https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/extras-2/available-packs-dlc/

For example, if you're looking for Seasons, you'd search for EP05 .  Wait for the search to finish, then make sure the full file path is showing under each result.  If it's not, expand the window sideways as necessary.  Take a screenshot using Windows key-shift-S and attach it to a reply here.  Then repeat for one or two more packs.

  • Hello, thank you so much for getting back to me!

I've deleted the Cas demo and renamed the file, tried repairing the game but it's still just the standard game.

I can't find any of the files! It's like they no longer exist on my computer. But the EA app says they are all installed?

When I view my packs in the game, I can see the following messages 'You already own this pack,' but also 'Requires The Sims 4 (Sold separately) and all game updates'. Does this help at all?

  • Can I give some more info if this helps?

Looking at an old save file it says I require the 'Get to work' pack. I hover over the icon in Required packs and it says 'Not owned' in red. But by clicking on it to get to the Get to Work page it  says 'You already own this pack'. What the hell!?

Back on the load file, it says 'Restart Required? In grey.

When I hover over this it says 'A restart is needed to ensure all the packs for this save are enabled and trial content is only available for trial saves'.

@PlainSimpleAimie  Please clear the EA App's cache (again), open your game library, click Sims 4, select Manage > Manage Add-ons, and let me know whether your packs are listed as installed or not.  If you see Download buttons, of course click them.

Otherwise, please run the search I described again and post the results.  Even if they're not installed at all, you should get at least one result per pack: the game creates a folder for each one inside ...\The Sims 4\Delta, to hold patch data.  So if you're not seeing those, either you're not running the search correctly (for example not clicking This PC first), or you're not letting it finish.

  • I've managed to get it to work!

I completely removed the Cas demo and file from the computer, then completely uninstalled everything and installed it again.

    Thank you for your help!
