The logo was used in TF|2 as the logo of the Apex Predators mercenary unit led by Kuben Blisk. Worth checking out the Titfanfall 2 campaign for it tho, it's a great story.

Well the apex predators were an IMC aligned group in TF2 as far as I'm aware, hammond is also aligned with IMC.
Perhaps Revenant was originally designed as a bespoke simulacrum to operate under the apex predators command, that being thwarted by the fact revenants psyche essentially shattered.
The unholy beast skin could just be a sneaky hint towards a link between the two,who knows? 😛
