So, now that Apex is on Steam. do i really need to re download the whole game?

- if you plan to play through Steam then you can delete your Origin downloaded version. And you would need to download and install the game in Steam in order to launch and play it through Steam.

- if you play APEX Legends on Steam then it will link directly with your Origin account and your progress and content will cross over. So it means that you need to download the game on Steam and then ensure that your Steam and Origin accounts (with the game data linked to it) are linked. You can only link one Steam account to one EA account, so make sure you choose the right EA Account to link to.

You only need to link your accounts the first time you play an EA game on Steam.

1. Sign into Steam.
2. Launch an EA game from Steam by clicking Play.
3. Install Origin/EA Desktop if you haven’t already.
4. Origin/EA Desktop will launch and ask you to link your Steam account and your EA Account.
5. Log in to Origin/EA Desktop using your EA Account info or create a new EA Account.
6. Steam will install your game and let you know when it’s ready to play.
