Re: Who is the worst legend...

When I started Apex all those decades ago, Crypto was the second legend I unlocked after Revenant. I've barely used him since.

Personally I think Wraith is the worst legend. I can't play her at all. I do love it though when she announces "I think there's a shooter nearby" when we're already in a rainstorm of bullets.

@EdwardDLuffy Agree, Wraith used to be the most fun to play but they nerfed her into the ground. Here's the funny bit, the die hard Wraith fans still play her and do so just as well which proves that it still took skill to play her. Ppl don't just pick Wraith and start winning all of a sudden as everyone thought. I mean look at Valk. She can fly. Fly! And shoot missiles! and has the highest survival rate in the game but no one said a word...

@Sand_spitter haven't seen a good Wraith player, they actually annoy me now even more than Octain ones:

Octain players - push everything and everywhere, go like crazy, probably die first but at least ensures mobility, leaves pads behind.
Wraith players - act like they have void queue 24/7, run into an enemy, start the fight, leave it and you 2v3 or 1v2 or 1v3, maybe recover banners afterwards but then most of the time acts like a di... stating how can you die so fast.

When I played her - got chased by pretty much every legend who traced the void or portal and just finished me on the other end.

@Eshshshss You mentioned before you only started playing in the spring right? You should have seen old wraiths. hahaha
  • Sounds like about half my games that. Everyone just wants to push everything without thinking and quits if you don't follow them to die.

Most players are terrible tbh, regardless of who they play. But a good player can kill you with any character is what I meant.

Everyone thought Wraith was OP pre-nerf but you still needed good aim, placement and planning to play her successfully. She's pretty trash now though..

What's ironic about all that is that Valk can fly out of trouble, and shoot missiles while doing so, or even move the whole squad half way across the map. Pathfinder can just grapple away. Octane has a jump pad that has so many uses in both offense and defense and gives so much mobility. But no one seems to be complaining about that?

@hayhor I have seen videos of pros playing her and understand where the hype comes from - harder to hit, voiceline when someone is aiming at you, faster queue, teleport usage in the end zones to start the push - good old combo of her, gibi and blood.

Yet now most of those benefits are nerfed and in my opinion, also player base has adjusted and learned how to counter those moves, thus now Wraith, in my opinion, is mostly just Octain like or dead in the water with her queue and portaling.

But yeah I have been here only 8 months so maybe don't know all the tricks and tips of her potential. Yet my experience with players who play her is exactly as described before - very frustrating and usesless for the team most of the time.

@Eshshshss Smaller hitbox and instant q made wraith the easiest less skillful legend to play before. That's why she was picked 30% of the time while the next legend was like 10%. Octane is now that legend, tho his pick rate isn't as out of control. People will always gravitate to the easiest legend to play. I enjoy playing octane sometimes. Now I'm running valk tho. Why? Because she is easy to play.

@hayhor Amen, Respawn could just rename that rank from pickrate to lazyrate :P and that actually would not be funny.

I mean Gibby is a clear example. I could not and did not want to play him 4 splits into my Apex experience because as said before I always died in my bubble fighting multiple enemies.
As I did not like others playing him as they more often than not used the bubble to heal themselves or pick me up while knocked instead of putting out the bubble in a timely fashion to avoid damage in the first place.
And the art of placing bubble is worth of a separate topic.

Yet you turn to more skilled players and Gibby still is a must-have. Just shows the difference in mindset, game approach, values, skill in the community.
