welcome to the forum. Great first post.
Cross progression is currently not enabled but EA/Respawn announced some time ago that Cross Progression should be arriving this year (2022).
Cross progression or the lack thereof does not affect me but I am an advocate of it and I really hope that EA sticks to this and gets cross progression out for all the players like you that really need it.
I know this does not help you out just right now but hang in there.
