Respawn had, you know, years to make the game better but you and I and everyone isn't playing a game that's meant to be good, it's not even the 2nd or third priority.  It is here to make money, and that is one reason it is free and should not be payed for. You're paying for it by basically being used by EA, and also there are people who will throw money at them meaning nobody needs to, to keep this game going.

Dead as in won't be played? Nah, people have put up with much worse games right up until their sucky sunset a decade later.  People have a high rate of tolerance for mediocre, us also included, because, yeah, we're still playing.

This game is worth $0.  And for $0 it is worth it.  $.01 is overpriced, but $0 is a good price.  There are other $0 games out there, so the question is are they the best nothing in dollars spent game? No, not even that.  But not worse either.

Respawn, I'm positive, knows what would make their game better.  But they don't have the will to do it.  And that's fine, not every job is about being good at something, not even in entertainment.  But I think they're going to last as a $0 game and in a very shallow way, they suit my needs, I think plenty of other people who don't want to give them any money also.
