BF3 doesn't run on XP??

I thought i checked all my parameters for running BF3, and after downloading the origin program and starting to install BF3 it says my operationg system is unsupported and need to upgrade. I have windows XP  Professional ver 2002 service pak3 running on a Dell XPS 630i ..If anyone can help thx
