Do you have 1942 in Origin or are you using the old pre-origin CD copy?  If you have it in Origin and it's under the same Origin account as your BF3 play a few games of multiplayer and it will automatically update to include 1942.  If you have an old pre-origin copy you'll need to speak with a game advisor and he'll ask you the CD key etc to establish your ownership and he'll manually add it.

BF4 is currently glitched and not adding to veteran status so at this time 10 is the highest veteran status until BF4's status is fixed and it updates your status.

The veteran page here http://www.battlefieldbadcompany2.com/veteran is the next best way to update the status manually, for newer PC\Console releases it will automatically update when you hit "refresh veteran status" or play the games while logged in with your origin account.  On the lower part of the page you can enter the CD keys for the older PC only games by clicking on the game's icon.
