If you need help syncing up your Gamertag to an EA account all you have to do is log into an EA game and it should prompt you for account creation.
Doesn't prompt you for account creation? That means your Gamertag is already linked up to an account. How do I know what email is linked to?
Here is how to find out what email address is linked up to the EA account that has your Gamertag synced.- Find it by going into one of our games. https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/account/find-your-ea-account-email-address-using-your-game/
- Visit Help.EA.com and sign in using the Microsoft login button. Then, click on Accounts at the top and Change Email Address. It should display there.
Don't have access to that email anymore?
No sweat! Just fill out this account recovery form and one of our Advisors will contact you shortly with information on updating your account details.

I went to the about me section of my EA account and it has no linked accounts. BUT it also DOESN'T have the option to ADD a linked account. this shouldn't be that ******************************** difficult EA just make us able to link accounts???

Please see my quoted response above to get this fixed for you.
To link your Gamertag/PSN ID you just have to play an EA game. Or, you can log into our website by using your PlayStation or Xbox credentials.
The picture you showed us means you're likely logging into another EA account (you have 2 or more accounts by accident) or you haven't logged into an EA game yet. When I went to the first link the directions for Apex Legends weren’t there
- This doesn’t help whatsoever
