Not a lot....
....Midnight bundle, artwork and soundtrack. I pre-purchased the Ultimate version, but not convinced that the additional cost was worth the add-ons.
The game itself, access to the Beta and early access to the game are identical.
@INVALID_USER14@lzilchetlis correct here. The only differences between the Gold and Ultimate Edition of Battlefield 2042 are the "Midnight bundle", artwork and soundtrack.
Not necessarily a pointless topic for discussion, but likely not one where we can influence change...
@carsono311I think maybe I would have gone for gold if someone pointed out the difference. Tend to worry that I've not understood the battlepass/DLC deal . So worth being here I guess to clarify for some if they are not fussed about the additional content

@lzilchetlquite sure the "midnight pack" could be exclusive to the Ultimate, like items in past games
not everyone would think it's worth the upgrade, but some do
@m1k3ol I'm not complaining. My choice I know, and I'll stick by it. I know there was no premium edition for BFV but the pattern before was the top level package gave you access to content like maps, weapons or subscriptions to DLCs. The only description we had for the bundle with the 2042 Ultimate was this...
...if you are a newcomer to BF or someone who isn't paying attention (like me) its not clear if you are getting a weapon and a gadget (alongside the character skin) or cosmetics. If you have not been following the narrative you wont necessarily know that ranger is already accessible. Certainly not clear at the point of sale, unless you tell me I have missed something - which I usually do!
