- @carsono311 Thanks for the heads up. @GVlXxf we encourage feedback on EAC but lets ensure that it's constructive and offers data points for further discussion. EAC has already been selected and implemented so I wouldn't expect a change to another AC client like Battle-eye before launch.

Hi, I would like to if my APEX account is disabled or my computer hardware and IP are blocked, will it affect my playing battlefield 2042 Because they're all part of the same anti-cheating system
@ragnarok013 Only thing they could add is the statistic based one they used in BF4 along side a proper AC would do wonders Fair Fight. The more the better here EAC while good isn't 100% Would need to be valorant level of control to be more effective.
- carsono3114 years agoSeasoned Ace@HotDog114514 I hope so.

@1Hairy-Gorilla BF4 only used to Anti-cheat solutions, Punkbuster which has been shown to be less than reliable and Fairfight which the Community has been very vocally against in BF1 and BF5. Easy Anti-cheat has shown solid results in Apex Legends and Halo the Master Chief collection. I've heard the same thing about its performance in Fortnight but I've never played that game.

As long as it's about this specific AC solution being used in 2042 and stays within the guidance of it being constructive feedback we'll allow it. If the topic/thread goes into the normal vitriol and toxicity that similar topics have in the past we'll shut it down as usual.

Well I did have a rather nice Friday off (I'm on a 9/80 schedule) replaying God of War and eating tacos so yes I am feeling rather refreshed at the moment. :-)

@HotDog114514 @EA_Atic can you address this?

I cant wait to report the aim bot users.
- @ragnarok013 Consuming the taco on the properly ordained day, i approve, as does the taco.
If i unwittingly create another taboo insta-lock topic in saying this, i regret nothing. @ragnarok013 At the time PB was the only big AC so to slight it for a modern AC is wrong 😉 PB was good when kept updated and if they had the ban list covering all servers ect. Even with the best AC at the time and a stats based one there were alot of cheaters its the game that was the final straw for being a PC gamer :P
1 AC back in the day now 6+ what does that tell you, more cheaters than ever there is a big market to counter them.

@1Hairy-Gorilla true and even back in the day we heard the same complaints about PB as we do with all ACs today so I think the problem is half AC performance and half player perception. Many of the instances where people are convinced that someone is cheating (outside of rage hackers) are usually things like ping differences, server tick rate, and connection route node ping instability coming together to make what you experience different from what the other person experienced.
You are correct that the market to sell these illicit goods has definitely increased as gaming has grown.

Hey,
As I was informed, you should be fine and your Apex Legends ban shouldn't affect Battlefield 2042.
- carsono3114 years agoSeasoned Ace@extinguisher123 While I understand (or I think I do) your intentions here were to be humorous, I would recommend steering clear of making light of people's socioeconomic status on the forum...
@IIPrest0nII See that's the problem if he cheated on an EA game with an EA account should be banned from all EA games... If it was a console ban he isn't getting online again.

Don't get me wrong. I Love the fact that they are cracking down on real cheaters. However I'm worried that the Report System is going to be abused by toxic people trying to get innocent players banned exactly like the Badmins did in past games.
I am almost afraid to even play the beta because of this. Even though it's rare I have seen it happen in many other games before.
Will probably only play with the AI Soldiers in Solo and Private matches for All Out Warfare and Portal until I see how it goes and whether or not there are a lot of false bans.
I am the same, my friend.
I will not playing against, little kids on consoles, using aim assist,
and shooting me through walls all game, thru smoke, you name it,
lag shots,
I bought a PC, I use mouse and keyboard, no hack.
So how am I going to play, if every server has cross play enabled.
I will be playing solo with bots,
NO hacks for consoles, so wasting your money on anti cheat,
only for PC cheaters, anyway, EA makes money from every ban.
get banned buy game again, cheat get banned, cash cow, ding ding.
@chgid2111055 Er no the cheats ppl pay for also give free copies of said game if they are caught... that's how confident they are. Also moaning at aim assist when using KB/M lol. Up close you might see Aim assist work but BF tends to be med to long range where aim assist does nothing...
Hi @Jesse165,
None of us are being banned by EA just because some toxic player may report us for cheating.
That is not how it is working. The EA AC admins will review the reported case and only ban if there is 100% solid evidence of infraction of the FairPlay principles have taken place. I would claim that nobody who is not cheating have anything to fear in this regard. As admin for many years, we see many reports coming in, but have always the integrity to check the validity before any ban is executed on any player. I have full confidence in EA handling this with full care and attention, as they should.
And mind you, as admin for many years, we also observe how some of those players we have banned off for very solid and 100% certain reasons, they afterwards try and save face with friends and family by issuing all kind of wild claims and excuses. Its unfortunate but challenging to do much about. But it helps to feed the myths of wrongly bans on certain game environments.
What @CyberDyme said.
Much like when people get caught botting and such and throw out a hilarious amount of "reasons" for why they were banned, very few of which are "i cheated and got banned".
If anything, because of the nature of reports and depending on evidence available, the review team will probably have to err on the side of caution and not suspend/ban anyone unless they're able to prove the ban was justified internally.
(even if they've now reserved the right to ban people without reasoning, they're not going to give a group of employees the ability to ban without cause. They just don't have to supply the end user with a reason, but they will have to provide evidence internally)And as was posted in the info dump a few days ago, if an admin bans you from a portal server, you'll be banned from that server and (if the server creator wishes) other servers that person makes.
It is *not* a game-wide ban.
If you keep getting banned from servers outside of a few rare instances, it's most likely either you or your criteria for picking for servers that need adjusting.
The whole badmin thing has at this point become a meme to explain away people's behavior just as much as it was a "justified" meme to begin with.
They did exist and will again, but they're by no means even close to a noticeable minority, as those servers who truly had horrible admins just became deserted within weeks, and will again.

It turns out how well EAC performs during open beta and how fast or not the cheaters will get around this AC. At least I do not trust the old phrases that always come out before the release, but we will see in the forum how much these words are worth, soon.
- @SpoolaZ I wouldn't be too shocked if you see a few things the last day (when it's open to everyone), as most likely that's when people will be testing if their cheats work prior to launch.
What'll be more interesting is what EA/Dice do with that information between beta and launch.
If they're really serious about cracking down on cheats, then the beta will be just as useful for keeping an eye out for new developments on that front as the general user/load data and bug reports.
Either way we'll see soon enough, if theres a bunch of "i got banned for nothing" posts at the end of the beta, we'll at least know something worked, though i'm personally more interested in the first few weeks after launch in that regard myself.
