Summarize your bug When you are in somewhat close range with a sniper rifle, you have to lead half a meter in front. That makes for stupid fights when you have people ducking and strafing back and forward. It is more about luck and not skill since you always have to lead a good deal to hit someone.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Try to hit enemies at close range with a sniper rifle while they are moving.
What happens when the bug occurs? If you are fighting another sniper, you both will most likely shoot a few shots that miss before you pull out the pistol. If you fight one with another weapon, you're most likely dead.
What should be happening instead? You shoudln't need to lead so much in close range. A sniper in Battlefield should be hard to use and only one hit kill to the head. When you need to lead to much in close range, it is more about luck than skill. Predicting a player that is strafing and ducking is more luck than skill at this point.
So maybe it is intended that you have to lead half a meter or so when players are 10 m in front of you, but for me, it seems kinda strange when they buffed the snipers in BFV in one of the last patches, even though they were not that bad. A sniper rifle should IMO only be a one-hit kill if you hit the head. That can already be hard if the target is strafing and ducking, but if you're on target you should be rewarded. I've already had a few of those strafing fights against other snipers and it is really strange and stupid, we can fire off like 5 shots each and no one will hit because you know you can't stand still if you want to live.. I've also seen a few clips of content creators not understanding why they're not hitting, one of them was Shroud. And the reason they're not hitting is that leading half a meter in front while they're closer to the target makes no sense for most who have been playing FPS games for a while.
