BF6's Release Broke BF2042's Portal Editor

Since BF6's release I have been unable to access BF2042's Portal Editor, the website has me in a loop of signing in and sending me back to the BF6/BF2042 Portal Editor selector, or sometimes simply not signing me in and putting me in the 2042 Portal Editor with none of my experiences saying "Unable To Retrieve Your Experiences". I'm unsure if this is an issue everyone is facing, but I just wanted make everyone aware that this is happening. I've been working on some BF2042 projects that I would like to finish and I'm sure this issue will be fixed eventually if it isn't already.

I’m still unable to use portal editor. It gets to select mode but then doesn’t let me click anything

  • Not fixed for me or my brother in law neither of us can login to 2042 portal just as you described keep looping to ,login, works every time with battlefield 6. I wonder if they are forcing us to buy 6?

I’ve had the issue on and off, to be honest I forgot I had this on the forums and have removed the solved marker, because this is obviously still an issue me and others have. I’m not really sure what fixes it, but I just try login in different ways like logging in the website before I go to the portal section or find a link to the original directory before BF6. I do plan on messing with the editor again at some point so if I figure out what causes it or how to get past it I’ll mark it here

  • I believe I have found the solution

    Go to this link:

    https://www.ea.com/games/battlefield/battlefield-2042/modes-hub/battlefield-portal

Sign in if you aren't already (This is important, if you don't sign in before you do the next steps that's what triggers the login looping).

Look at the top where there are directories for different things regarding BF2042 (This is different for mobile, tap the two lines next to the BATTLEFIELD 2042 text) and find "Battlefield portal", then hover over it.

Click on browse experiences and it might take a second to load (so might your experiences you have made or saved), then you should be able to use the editor like before.

This is what worked for me, I'm unsure if this will work with everyone, but I'll check up on this forum for a little while to see if anyone has anymore issues and mark as the solution if it works.

    Good luck No-Pats!
