battlefield 1942 price

Hi, I'm writing a bachelor's thesis on the topic of games and I would like to find out how much each battlefield game cost on release day. Does anyone have any information, I'm having a really hard time finding it.

    Hello,

“Battlefield 1942,” the first game in the series, was released in 2002. At that time, the standard price for new PC games was typically around $49.99 in the United States. This price point was common for many PC titles released during that period. However, without specific historical data, it’s difficult to confirm the exact release day price for “Battlefield 1942.”

As for the subsequent games in the “Battlefield” series, the pricing at release has varied depending on the edition of the game (Standard, Deluxe, or Collector’s) and the platform it was released on (PC, Xbox, PlayStation, etc.). Generally, the trend has been that standard editions of PC games are priced slightly lower than their console counterparts, with console games often launching at $59.99 or higher, especially for next-generation consoles.

For your thesis, you might consider reaching out to the game’s publisher, Electronic Arts (EA), or checking gaming industry reports from the release year of each “Battlefield” game for more accurate pricing information. Additionally, historical sales data from retailers or price tracking websites could provide insights into the pricing at the time of release.

I hope this information helps you with your research and best of luck with your bachelor's thesis on games!

    Best regards,

    Yvonne Rhodes
