Weather addition needed ASAP!

I just wanted to share my thoughts here as I'm sure just about all other players out there greatly miss the ability to see or control weather aspects for a game. I don't understand why EA didn't add this feature but it's something I feel that we all need to be vocal on so that it can be included in a future update. EA had ample amounts of time to get this game right yet it falls short in numerous aspects. If EA's aim was to deliver a product that was real & genuine, surely inclement weather seen during a game as it would be in real life would be included. Football can't be played without frigid temperatures & snow in the winter time along with the scorching heat of the summer, high winds or heavy rains/ light sprinkles that we are all familiar with. To not have these aspects in the game is to have a game that just isn't complete. Let's be vocal about this & bring back the real football weather to College Football 25!

  • I agree with you that the associated mobile app made earlier College Football seasons more convenient. It really does make league management a lot easier, especially for those of us who are managing many obligations at once. Regretfully, there hasn't been an official announcement on the companion app for College Football 25 as of yet.

Agreed! Please bring back live weather. Unfortunately we'll probably lose this battle because everyone online H2H loves to throw the ball all over the place. I bought the game for stadium atmosphere and weather and STADIUM atmosphere.

  • @botravis They can make weather choice / live weather offline only, it doesn't have to be in H2H. As a matter of fact, most sports games operate this way. H2H online is always "clear", while offline has the weather options.

I always loved in NCAA 14 you can choose type of weather, exact temperature ranging from single digits to nearly triple digits, heavy, light, moderate rain, snow, wind and fog. It was a great feature which I thought was going to be in this game when it was announced. I'm truly disappointed that it's not. I also hate that there's no time of day change either. Games, time of day and weather should be a major component and vary from September to January.

  • @rjfire18 Totally agree. If selectable weather and its progressions, was in NCAA 14, then it should be here. And let’s get those stadium flags blowing on windy games. MLB The Show got it right.
  • @V12_20721You're right. Flags just laying still when obviously it says 7mph wind blowing is crazy. It just looks bad. MLB The Show does these things right although it's been the same game for many years now. Also the fact that they're missing the flags that's on top of the goal posts that helps you know which way the wind is blowing.

  • And I know this thread is about gameplay, but can I just say:  The snow looks SO bad in this game.  I'm not exaggerating that I think PS2 snow games looked better.

Haven't seen snow yet but the rain is pathetic. The rain just looks like someone spray a hose from the top of of the broadcast booth. Doesn't even look like its raining on the field itself.

Even replay cutscenes aren't showing rain on the field

  • All the outdoor sports games seem to have a problem with weather.  As an example I play a lot of Sony's MLB the Show and being from San Diego I play as the Padres (only way I can see them win a World Series 😁) In just one season it rained more then all the real games I watched combined going back 60 years.

It seems all they need to do is use one of the national weather services databases and just use past dates to set the weather.

Like mentioned by the OP, there needs to be more variety, in San Diego when it rains it's normally just drizzles unlike the Midwest where it can pour down more in a day than we get here all year.
