Re: DLL files

Thanks for the reply,

It doesn`t say which file is the problem, and I have tried uninstalling and re installing.

I have installed the fixer, it tells me I have thousands of issues, (on a brand new computer!) and when I clicked the fix all button it went straight to a payment page, it would be cheaper to buy a new copy of the game I think.

Try uninstalling and reinstalling, the .dll mentioned might have been mis-installed on your computer. 🙂

Does the error message mention a specific .dll file?

I advise against downloading directly the .dll from the Internet, as per this pretty informative article:

What is it that you call "the fixer"?

If it is a program you found on a website to repair or replace missing .dlls, I would indeed not advise to use it.

Try contacting the support directly (make sure you are logged in, have picked the correct game and problem category), and tell them the steps you have been following so far.

The DLL file error for Tiberian Sun is caused by not installing and running the game as an administrator. The solution is uninstalling the game and reinstalling as admin and then running the game in admin mode every time. It has nothing to do with any DLL file being missing. Windows Vista, 7 and 8 don't like the game and will display an error if you don't. You might get a ***Fatal, string manager failed to initialized properly*** error when trying to run Red Alert 2. The fix is the same.
