@hollamf I turned crossplay off. Sure, it can make it harder to find matches, but I was so tired of being auto-beamed by (mostly) XBox players.
Unfortunately, many suspect players I've seen in the game since launch seem to be doing the same because they started reappearing in PC only matches. They're like rank S300-400 +. One of them, who I haven't seen for a while, is rank S700+. Two months ago they were rank S500+. They would join a match and just completely ruin the experience and instantly be up at the top. How on Earth they haven't been booted yet I really don't understand. Used to be a player from Kuwait in BFV matches who had like 5000 hours in a plane (somehow; it was a ridiculous amount of time) who would utterly spoil the games and everyone would just leave because it was pointless. You couldn't take them out with anything, and their aircraft seemed to perform 180 flips and teleport (other players mentioned that as well), in addition to delivering much higher damage per shot.
The bit that always gives it away for me is their KD ratio being so high on the kills and so low on the deaths every time. I can have matches where I get a nice KDR, but on bad days it can be near equal. These players never have a bad day, no matter their team, or who they're playing against. Its this consistency of always having a super score that suggests something is very much off with them, especially when you have highly contended infantry fighting and somehow they never get shot or located, and just run around instantly taking everyone out.
Just last night there was a player surviving near direct hits from a rocket on three occasions, and when you shot at them on less than 10hp, not a single bullet would connect with them even standing still. They were also looking in a different direction when I was parachuting down directly above them, and then instantly snapped to look straight up at me and take my head off at over 300m. Considering I've been killed by rockets detonating nowhere near me (similar for C5, I've somehow killed myself and not an enemy despite the enemy standing closer to it), there's definitely something they are using.
