@RaginSamSliding on the ground - a skill? What are you even talking about. It’s just basic movement! So moving forward with your controller, is that a skill too? :D
I would not have anything against special movement if only it was realistic and not like something from an arcade game in the 1980’s.
Sliding is a skill, you need to know when and how to use it. There's little spots that you can slide down on the map to get a little more out of it as well. It gives movement depth. Are you trying to argue that strafing isn't a skill? And yes, we interact with the game through buttons, you can try to reduce everything to that, but kind of a straw man argument if you ask me.
Battlefield has always been pretty arcady. It's never been even close to a Milsim. I can't stand those types of games. If that's what you're looking for, in your luck, because that's been the big trend the past decade. Numerous shooters available right now that don't rely on movement!
I feel like people arguing for movement to be made more akin to a sim, are on console. Just another reason for crossplay to be abandoned in my opinion. Reduce movement, increase aim assist, anything to take away any sort of advantage that a mouse user might have.
You guys keep ignoring the fact there's some major dysnc/networking issues. Until that gets straightened out, you don't know what movement actually looks like in this game. I remember in the Beta, people looking like they were speed hacking. It's because of the networking.
There's been fatigue built into jumping for the longest time in BF. There's also a momentum system as well. So all the things you guys are "coming up with" in this thread, have been thought about, and then implemented. Movement is a skill. Learning how to force your opponent to miss their shots, IS a skill.
