Watched as a Discussion I was reading delete before my very eyes

almost all the negative discourse about the secure boot and tpm requirements vanished into thin air i saw at least 20 new posts then boop gone. what gives?

Is EA in damage control right now and are trying to mask the problem or what?

this is looking very suspect

  • Hi JFKsSkinFlap,

If they were about the secure boot anti-cheat update then they were potentially merged with the "megathread" to keep everything together and avoid duplicated threads. Here's the link to it:

    https://forums.ea.com/discussions/battlefield-2042-technical-issues-en/info-bf2042-patch-8-8-may-27-%E2%80%93-secure-boot-requirement-for-supported-systems/12217595

Generally speaking, comments are only removed if they break the forum rules, which could have happened potentially depending on what was posted, but there's no issue leaving constructive negative feedback here.

Thanks for the heads up. I probably messed up the link or something. It's this one in the Technical Issues forum:

[INFO] BF2042 Patch 8.8 (May 27) – Secure Boot Requirement for Supported Systems | EA Forums - 12217595

I'll update the first one now.

Edit: Hmm...might be the linking itself as it can't seem to find the community in the first link even after being updated, but removing the linking and copying and pasting the address into a browser tab (or using the one above) works as expected for me.

  • yeah, few of my post were deleted, it honestly brings me down, no wonder why this place seems so quiet

Locking things here with the correct details ElliotLH provided, just to avoid turning this into a thread discussing moderation. Thanks folks!
