@BoomHeadShot8 Can you pull up Task Manager and launch the game at the same time and see if it shows listed? If it does not, something is blocking it.

    @BoomHeadShot8 Yeah that means a program or Windows is blocking it somewhere.

    I think these may have been tried but just to verify, I would run through these when you have time just to make sure all steps are covered.

    • Add Exception into Windows Defender
    • Add an exception to ANY antivirus you have. 
    • Add an exception to the Windows Firewall Settings

    Then try each one of these:

  • @EA_Shepard why windows block it ? the game launch a black windows show up for 5 seconds and nothing.
    Exception in win_defender is already added

    Exception added in firewall
    I was able to play for 1 hour and game crash (bug in jpg)

    for me It's obviously  driver issue

    @BoomHeadShot8 Windows can black it for a lot of reasons. Especially after an update to the system. Windows security is consistently updating itself over most other updates. If you were playing and then it happened, try removing the saves and launching it again. It could be a broken save or an update to the game.

  • @EA_Shepardyes but when i do a clean delete of the driver the game is working and when I want to relaunch it I can't ?

    Even with saves deleted I can't make it work

    I want to update to Win11 and see if it's working

    So far all up to date, tried everything previous posts, was on w10 before now on w11 it's the same

    546,17 can't work

    546.01 : worked 30 minutes ( after DDU in safe mode and NVclean install) then crash 2 hours later ;  I did nothing apart from eating 🤔  

    536.40 : worked 1h after crash (see png)

    535.98 : can't work

    532.03 nope

    Edit : just try with a new account (using microsoft account to login), so I launch the game deadspace.exe ; CPU at 100% when I switched to the other account the game launched 😮

    @BoomHeadShot8 That is odd that you would get that error and swapping accounts like that would cause that. Swapping a log-in shouldn't affect that in any way unless you simply were not entitled for content but that would be entirely different.

    When you updated your GPU drivers, did you do a fresh install where it deletes old drivers and installs new drivers?

    That error you attached is related to Nvidi and not the game itself

    That error occured with drivers : 536.40
    Yes, I use DDU so a clean install ; I install only driver + physyx + hd audio no geforce experience with Nvcleaninstall
    I have
    user 1 : local account (admin )
    user 2 : my microsoft email
    1)I log on user 1 then switch to user 2
    2) launch the game deadspace.exe
    3) switch to user 1
    4) game is opened and I can play
    There is massive fps drop, sometimes a freeze but no crash so far after 1h30
    Already did that 2 times and working

    @BoomHeadShot8 Gotcha. can you change the resolution and screen sizes, windowed vs full screen to see if any of these make a difference? The freezing could be a bad update, or save file, but also could contribute to the video rendering as well.

    Windowed mode because im using obs to save my videos I dont know why but in fullscreen I can't capture.
    Dlss + high textures in 1080p no ray tracing
    I will try fullscreen
  • i did'nt notice any change in fullscreen

    Already playing ~8h without crash and my method is working
