Spent 5 (no joking) hours now trying to fix this problem. Well since it didn't work I am desperate enough to create a thread.
Simply put - the Origin overlay doesn't work for me despite being checked in the settings in Dead Space 3. So I neither have access to my DLCs (which I spent more money on than the game itself haha) nor I can play Coop since my friend has the same issue. When I try to invite a friend to Coop it says "Origin In Game Unavailabe .. Blabla Origin In Game is Disabled Blala enable the Origin Ingame feature from the Origin software settings Blabla"
Well just in case - YES Origin In Game IS activiated in the settings.

In short the things I tried in order to fix:
-reinstalled origin as admin
-reinstalled ds3
-opened the following ports:
TCP: 80, 443, 9988, 20000-20100, 22990, 17502, 42127
UDP: 3659, 14000-14016, 22990-23006, 25200-25300
-deactivated firewall
-deinstalled any programs that MIGHT create an overlay (fraps/nvidia shadowplay/teamspeak/etc.)
-tried some crazy graphic settings stuff since some players recommended it (windowed with activated vsync WHILE origin Beta mode is checked)
-even **%$&$/ reinstalled windows just for the fun of trying something
-restart pc while dancing to some church songs praising god
NOTHING. WORKED.
