It seems it's either something with Admin rights or LAN settings:
Guys, after trying really each and every solution you suggested, I found this on another site, and believe it or not, it worked! For those having the "You must be connected to the internet to access online features of the title" error, try this: Open your Internet Explorer 8 (even if that's not the browser you normally use), click on your connection tab under Internet Options (might be different, mine is in spanish), click on LAN settings at the bottom and then deselect "auto detect setting". Click OK and try running the game again.
