Game Breaking: Here Lies the Abyss, cannot progress [CRASH]

Not that this will come as any great surprise to anyone, so this is mostly just for venting and/or notification on the miniscule chance anybody from BioWare is scanning through the thousands of posts about just how broken this game is on PC.

Genericized explanation: Fought the boss for Here Lies the Abyss.  Made the Critical Decision(tm), changing it up on various run-throughs. Ran out of the mission area to the next cut scene.

Have tried many, many of the suggestions to get the game running on my PC; nothing has stabilized it. (Using an nVidia GPU, so I know there's nothing I can do but wait for this to get patched.) I can occasionally get extended periods of play (1+ hours), and others I'm crashing every 2 minutes.  This one crashes consistently after the cut scene going back to Skyhome.  This is a Plot Quest, so this game is literally unplayable for me now, short of reloading a previous save and losing hours of gameplay.  (Or, losing even more gameplay; I've probably replayed about 1/3rd of my total hours due to crashes.)

I really wanted to like this, but my bloodied head has hit the brick wall too many times.  So, so disappointed with a game I really wanted to like.
