Love waits (Quest) - The Hinterlands (Area) bugged

I had the same problem, it was showing it out in nowhere, but you will find him in the keep close by whit the cult where the rift is inside. 

He will be in the "tavern" area on the second floor, some mage bold guy, you can recruite him as a agent if you want.

Im having the same issue, trying to figure this out

Not bugged bad, the marker is a bit off but he is inside and upstairs (Pretty much where you found him to start with. If he didn't load in right once at the location. save, exit to main and reload the game.

Also in my playthrough he does not appear. Neither at the keep nor t the location the quest marker points to. Also tried to reload a few times and nothing he does not appear.

Btw i took the quest before talking to him ( just found the body with the letter ) maybe this is causing it?

Yeah, I looked it up online to see he was on the second floor of the tavern but he's not there in my game.

Could it be we closed the rift and the lady sent him away before we did the Love Waits quest? (She mentions in her speech if you tell her to go tell others of the inquisition some people will stay but most will leave)

I'm having the same problem -- the quest tells me to find Lord Berand, but he's not inside the keep and the quest marker takes me to the tower outside. I've checked all locations mentioned.

I did close the rift very soon after I first reached the keep, and I REALLY hope that didn't bug this quest.

That sounds very odd. I was able to find him on the second floor where he is suppose to be in the keep. And I did find the body and letter before I ever found the keep. I did do that mission before closing the rift, however, so if you closed it before and spoke to the head lady before talking to the Lord, then that may have something to do with it.

It would be silly on the Dev's part to have the quest giver / turn in leave (since not everyone does) if you close the rift first -- the NPC has no reason to believe that his lover won't still be on the way to meet him until you deliver the news.

I'm afraid to keep questing now until this is resolved -- I don't want to get farther into content only to find out I have to go back to a previous save to correct it. I dearly hope that isn't the case, since we can't name our saves anymore and I don't know how far back to go.
