@Ponyrose1315 At some point after the Fade scene (and after talking about it in a subsequent conversation), there should be a scene where he is drinking tea despite hating it, has this triggered? How does he greet you when you speak to him? With most companions, the greeting can give a clue as to how high your approval is. Before starting over perhaps try bringing him along while you activate some elven artifacts, see if raising your approval helps. Remember if you have the 'fair weather friends' trial active, it's a bit harder to keep a high approval rating.
