Re: EA Play automatically starts Jedi fallen order x2 instances

Hey @rdalcroft that's an odd one, when launching the EA App where are you selecting it?

If you launch from the Start menu and the desktop do you have the same issue?

  • Hello

I just gave that a try now. Starting it from the shortcut.

I am thinking issue is fixed.

as now I think about it, I moved the install folder to a different drive. And had issues at first. Because Ea play have no move game feature.

I created a post on this and the work around how to do it. Simply registry entry change location.

but I never rebooted. So now ea play opens fine. Didn’t trigger Jedi fallen order to start.

and I only get one instance open.

    thanks for the tip.

  • I spoke too soon, Just started the game again from with in EA app and it Loads 2 instances of Jedi Fallen Order.

so I am going to have to troubleshoot this a bit more.

I will search the registry for any double or conflicting entries, its a strange one, but atleast when i start EA Play it no longer automatically launches the game.

I've got the exact same issue. Its very annoying. Sometimes fallen order will launch just when I open the EA desktop app.

  • @thomeboy I'm having the exact same issue. I open EA Play and the program auto-opens two instances of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.

    This is super annoying.

Hey all, trying to do what I can to recreate this and not able to.

Did anything change on your systems before this began?

I had the same issue - no matter how I launched the game (via shortcut, EA app etc.) it always started 2 instances. I managed to fix it by removing the contents of Jedi Survivor\SwGame\Binaries\Win64 and running Manage -> Repair in the EA app. Now it launches without any issues.

This worked for me!  It's the only real fix I've come across after looking through at least a couple of forums regarding this issue.  Thank you!
