EA Play on Xbox Ultimate Gamepass (PC) Regarding Achievements, Progression, etc.

PC titles have yet to implement Xbox progression and achievements. Steam has EA Play with unlockable achievements for example. Adding this would improve the players experience when it comes to playing an EA game via Xbox Ultimate Gamepass. As of now there's little reason for me and those alike to play these titles on PC via the Xbox ecosystem as it doesn't give off the full game feeling.

There's two options to achieve this, one is implementing cross progression that syncs to your Xbox profile. The other option is to make a seperate achievement list and update the game title to Example (PC). This implement would make a lot of gamers happy while potentially increasing EA purchases on PC. I'm even sure this could be implemented into Steam given there's games on the platform that already allow for this including older Games for Windows Live. Get in touch with Microsoft and Valve, see what can be achieved, and make the gaming landscape even better.

Also I suggest scrapping the mandatory EA Play app on PC. It's just a nuisance since we are paying for subscriptions on platforms that already do the task. You want consumers to experience your games in the best quality, unnecessary background apps negatively affect that, even if it's miniscule.

Sincerely,

EA Players

  • @vninethreeone I fully support this. As an achievmeent *, I find absolutely no incentive to even touch these games on pc because there's no achievements. However, if they were to somehow integrate achievements to xbox as potentially a stack, I would be playing the living * out of so many of these games. This would help EA as well as their player stats will have my excessive gametime added on as well and perhaps I will buy DLC for games I love. All of this just by adding xbox achievement integration.
  • EA games on PC gamepass are just horrendous due to their greediness and lack of support for user QoL. They make you use their awful client on top of Xbox's perfectly fine service, don't even bother adding achievement support, and then they don't even allow game sharing which has been native to Gamepass for years. I wish they'd figure it tf out, but EA has never cared more about the user, just the cash flow, and I don't ever see that changing.

  • I agree, there are some really good games available. Currently playing Dead Space remastered with a lot of fun. But I miss the connection with achievements, I have played Xbox games for ages and gotten a ton of achievements which is great. But if I have achievements from a Game Pass available game on EA instead of Xbox is something I don't really prefer. It would be good, as previously said, to have a Xbox profile to EA connection, so that as soon as you get an achievement it's visible on Xbox as well.
