Online multiplayer is available for specific games with EA Play Pro- it does depend on which game you're looking to play. 

You can check if any of the games included with EA Play Pro require an online connection in the EA app by selecting that specific game page, scrolling down to System Requirements, and checking for an Online Connection Requirements section there. If you do not see an online connection requirement section, that means that specific game does not require an online connection to play.

You can also filter the games in the EA app to only show the available multiplayer games with EA Play Pro- to do this in the EA app, click Browse-> More Filters, here you'll want to select EA Play Pro and Multiplayer.
