Sims 3 Wont Download on EA app

So I downloaded the EA app on my old HP laptop last night so I can play the Sims 3 again. Before with Origin, every time I tried to download that app, I would always get the same error message. I didn't care then since I do have a mac that I can play the sims 4 on perfectly fine, just not the sims 3 on that laptop. Now, since the EA app was released for windows computers, I was able to get that app downloaded perfectly fine along with both my sims 4 games, and my Sims Medieval game. I have not gone into the sims 4 yet to make sure all the packs have been downloaded, but through the app, it does say that they have been. The problem though, is with my Sims 3. That was the last to download and It was taking a while so I left for work and came back and saw everything was good and downloaded. Played some of the Medieval last night and it worked perfectly fine. Now, this morning I went in to go play the Sims 3 and it opened the Sims 3 launcher and did that thing telling you that you have to move the packs you want to play with over. When I looked though, none of my packs showed that they downloaded. I go back into the EA app and it shows that nothing is currently downloading and that everything is complete, but when I looked at each of my purchased packs for the Sims 3, the download button was greyed out and said installing as if they currently were, but nothing actually was downloading. I closed/logged out of the app, shut down my computer and still didn't change. So I uninstalled the game. Now, when I go to try and redownload it, I have the blue download button, go through the accepting, and it doesn't download. It just goes back to that blue button. When I look at the download manager, it says completed downloads and the Sims 3 is under it, but I don't have the app icon on my laptop and I'll press the play button next to the Sims 3 and that just does the whole needing to accept to download again. The play button shows up just under the download manager section of the app. When I go into the library, it'll show that I need to download the game. Also, the packs are still greyed out saying installing even though they are not and I have no base game installed for them to even install to. The next thing I'm going to try is uninstalling the EA app and seeing if that works or not. If it doesn't I just don't know what to do.

@mirandaeb1 It is now fixed. But... You might initially get an ERROR 500 on EA's PART. Restarted the APP and Sims 3 worked for me. ...FINALLY! 👍👍🤠
