- @EA_Darko Okay, this is something I haven't tried so far so it's a start. I'll get back to you.

Let me know how you get on @CosmicDust77.
Darko It found corrupted files and fixed them, but the issue persists and I still got the 0xc000007b error. I'll add another dxdiag for you just in case

Hey @CosmicDust77 as this is a Windows error rather than an EA one it's no harm taking a look at the Microsoft support site for issues relate to this.
You should be able to find a number of threads with suggestions to fix the issue.
Darko - @EA_Darko I looked though 6 of them and they all say the same things as you did here, and most of them seem to get abandoned so their issue never seems to get solved. Is there anything else that I could possibly do?

Hey @CosmicDust77 it may be that it requires a fresh install of your OS.
It's an issue on the Windows side and really something that can take a lot of troubleshooting.
Darko - @EA_Darko could updating to windows 11 fix the issue in theory?

It may and it may not @CosmicDust77.
No harm trying to see if it happens as you can always roll back.

Guys,
I am having identical issue here only I'm running Windows 11 Pro.
It's happening on Battlefield 4 and Battlefield 1 for me, same error.
Did you have a fix in the end?
I have apart from what you have suggested I have also tried the following to no avail:
- Running system file checker which repaired corrupted files
- Deleting Temporary files.
- Reinstallation of .DLL files in both System32 and SysWOW64 directories,
- Ensuring NET framework is installed and selected,
- Running both as EA access and the game.exe files as Administrator
- Reinstalled both EA access and the game,
- Running file repair in the Command Prompt as Administrator.
- Windows firewall has both game and EA access set to full access
- Reinstalled Windows (clean installation and hard drive was partitioned)
- Downloaded and installed Punkbuster
- Ran both EA app and the game in different compatibility settings i.e Windows 8 etc.
- Downloading the game via Xbox App and Steam seperately, both of which have to use your EA access to open the game.
I definitely believe this is an error on your app, as we are not the only ones having this issue.
For clarification, as the OP has suggested once you select the game the error doesn't always appear. It seems that the EA Access app opens momentarily (I cant see whats inside the EA access app as its brief but it appears to be the same size as the login screen) before disappearing, then the EA Access icon loads on the start menu with the app re-opening fully going to the home screen where you can see your downloaded games. At this point the play icon becomes selectable once again but with the same outcome.
FYI - Incase this helps, I am able to play Battlefield V and Battlefield 2042 both are newer titles, with no issues.
Please help I am at my tethers end.
KR,
Michael.
