I got a simular issue where my friend cant create a account
The EA ID is not accepted
We tried several names even her reallife name.
Linking it with steam worked but then trying to login doesnt work at all.
To be honest reading searching for this issue on google or the support page i can see the security to make account feel rather crap.
Community Manager@ItsMeFoolio Hey, we need your friend to post their info here. Troubleshooting through another player is a bit tougher to do. We need more info from them on why they cant. It could be a simple cache problem or a site problem.

Community Manager@ItsMeFoolio So they would have to either create an account or contact live support and have them look into this with them.They are also able to assist her with this over chat if need be.

tried doing this on 2 computers and tried via Chrome, Opera and Safari via Iphone
Community Manager@ItsMeFoolio Try this link and make sure you chose to not log in. I tested it with random info and not being logged in at all was able to choose PC in the dropdown. If it doesn't let you, change the options and see which ones do give you the drop-down option. All you really need is to get the chat up, they will do the rest with you.
