Steam deck only launch in desktop mode games

Summarize your bug I bought 3 games on steam and want to launch them. They are working to launch from desktop mode but not from gaming mode. I only get the error failed to launch try again later.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Start from steam deck gaming mode for example nfs payback
What happens when the bug occurs? Get message launching game then next after a while an error message.
What do you expect to see? The game starting

    Hi @the_stift,

    The EA app, nor any of our games, has official support for the Steam Deck and therefore it's possible that you're experiencing these issues.

    @EA_Leeuw After updating the launcher, the launcher process blocks the launch of the Steam HUD, therefore, in games purchased through Steam, the overlay does not work, nor do achievements drop out.

    Ok I was just wondering that it was working for other games before- so it must have something to do with the ea app.

    Hi, I have the same problem. Running EA app from steam deck desktop mode, they works perfectly (even better than running from my Windows partition on the steam deck where many games runs and a black screen appears). But when I play the EA app from gaming mode and I click to play a game, I always get the same error.

    I'm having this problem too, trying to launch Mass Effect Legendary Edition from gaming mode. It had been working perfectly for months, my need to manually repair the EA app after every update notwithstanding. But it seems this most recent update messed up the ability to launch games from the EA app in gaming mode. I really like the Deck's gaming mode's ability to map controls easily while in game, not to mention easily access Bluetooth and other settings. Maybe this will be fixed in the next EA app update? Really makes me not want to play EA games.
