Secure boot + No Commentary - Solution Found

Hi all,

Glad to share that I've managed to solve two issues stemming from EA FC 24.

1. Secure Boot

As you all know, secure boot is required to play the game. When I first entered my BIOs, in order to turn secure boot on, I had to turn CMS off. With CMS off, I had to restart the computer to enable secure boot. The problem comes here - BIOS is not showing up after disabling CMS.

Solution:

https://www.tomshardware.com/how-to/update-nvidia-drivers - You need to update your GPU driver. Once done, restart and click your BIOs key (F2 or DEL for me) and you should be in the BIOS. Also, you need to use a HDMI cable not a displayport.Try different HDMI ports if one doesn't work.

2. Commentary Fix

Like many of you, I encountered the brazilian flag error and no commentary on all types of games (Rivals, kick-off, seasons, etc.). It happened as soon as I tried the trial version on steam with EA PLAY subscription. I.e. Running game via steam (game downloaded in steam program files) even though it'll eventually start EA Play app to run the game anyway.

I highly suspect that the no commentary issue is from playing with steam. In some ways or another, steam and EA App are colliding resulting in the error.

The solution is easy -

Buy the game from EA Play directly (I subscribed to EA Play Pro).

Uninstall EA FC 24 completely from steam - make sure folder is empty of anything related to EA FC 24 (i.e. program filesx86 -> Steamapps -> common)

Now redownload directly from EA App. Play from EA APP only and not via steam - commentary should be back.

I really hope the suggestions above fix your issues as I was really frustrated myself as well.

Enjoy the game everyone!
