Re: Servers in south Africa

Cables have been fixed, stop grasping at straws and just admit you don't know what the issue is.

We have long heard rumours that you don't know how to code your own game (hence the inconsistent gameplay that you can't fix, even at Pro tournaments) and we finally see it now.

You put out an update three weeks ago, since then the server went to crap. Now you released another update last week to try and remedy the situation quietly and... nothing, no changes.

Countries, PLURAL are effected. I just hope the day you receive proper competition on the market with another football game that you guys are ready because the community will abonden this title and that will be a sad day for all of you.

God bless you all at EA.

  • Africa doesn't have a dedicated FIFA/EAFC server, the server that was recently disconnected its only for hosting games but not gameplay. The ping that you see on the screen just before you accept a game in rivals or champs its actually not latency, its just a jitter that measures the distance between you and your opponent(depending on the distance between you and your opponent most of you guys were getting around 2-60ms with a depressing gameplay still)..hence a hosting server doesn't depend on under sea cables.

Latency should be atleast 150ms or less for you to actually have a tolerable game play and you check that by going to your console settings >network settings>test network speed and statistics....that latency you see there, its the one you need to be atleast 150ms and thats impossible since EA have never bothered providing a server for a whole African continent but keeps on adding more Europian servers and yet they still sell the game to us knowing very well we can't play the game as inteded

We were always connected to Europian servers

Jitter is how your ping changes over time,If your ping is 20ms one moment and 90ms the next, you're experiencing jitter.

latency depend on your communication with the server you are connected to. If we were playing on EU servers we wouldn’t have ever gotten 4ms

Yea people saying its the cable lol. It doesnt go to from sa to eu to sa again otherwise our ping would be 140 all the time. Our servers are switched off or that patch broke it.
