Re: Sound problem in FC Mobile

@kinkoosh Hi mate - i never play with sound on, so am little to no use to you with trouble shooting - but I believe that there are some posts on here where people have experienced the same sort of thing and it had to do with the device (or maybe the game) cutting the sound because it believes that there is something else that should be taking precedence over the game noise (such as a phone call, alert, or audio player).

I believe that there was a fix, whereby you could have the game sound take precedence, but I can’t recall what that was 😬


When it occurs, if you force close the app and restart it, dos the sound come back, or is it only after you restart your device?

Have a search through the history on here (I can’t at the moment as I am about to head into work), and I will also post a note to the EA team to ask if they have any info at hand.

    Hi @mendozzamagic, I looked through the forum and haven’t found anything helpful (or maybe I’m just a bad finder), only some post where EA sent troubleshooting link but that didn’t help me. :_(

    So, to be honest, I don’t know how it works. When the issue occurs, I can try to restart the game by closing it and opening again many times but it won’t help. But when some time passes (I don’t know exactly how long) until I use the game, the game starts normally without problems (but still after a while the issue can come back).

    “I believe that there was a fix, whereby you could have the game sound take precedence, but I can’t recall what that was” I didn't understand this line a little..Can’t find that in the game settings and in the system settings too (I also can’t really control the game from the system settings, I really can’t do anything special that could help me solve the problem on iPadOS). But I still don’t think it has anything to do with sound precedence, because nothing is/was playing when i had no sound in game. I tried to turn music on when there was no sound in game and it was ok (music), same goes when I turn the music on while the game sound is ok, I hear the music and when I turn it off, game sound is ok too.

    Nothing changes if I try to connect my headphones to my device, wire or wireless it doesn’t care, there’s still no sound.

    @kinkoosh Thanks - like I said, not really my area of expertise as I don’t play with the sound on and as such have not paid a lot of attention to discussion about sound - but the extra detail is brilliant and I will pass on to the team to see if they have any ideas.

    @kinkoosh Hi mate - so, i spoke with the EA team ... it is an issue that they are aware of, but from what they have been able to deduce it randomly occurs in ipads, but as it is random (both in terms of when it occurs and the devices that it occurs on) they have not been able to replicate it, and as such have difficulty trying to trouble shoot it.

    Consensus within EA seems to be that it is likely device/ios related and there is not much that they can do from their end.

    That said though, if it is happening regularly and can capture video of it occurring on a couple of occasions, send them through so that the dev team can have a look and see if anything jumps out at them.

    Sorry - couldn't be of more assistance - the thing i was thinking of was a while ago and predominantly android related where audio would not come back after a call or an alert without restarting the device.

    @kinkoosh Post the videos on here and then I can direct the dev team to them … don’t bother with customer service, this is way out of their wheelhouse 😉
