Few things you can check (credit to FordGT90Concept)
1) Make sure the GPU isn't overheating.
2) Make sure the GPU is getting enough power under load.
3) Update graphics drivers.
4) Check if other games have problems; run FurMark and check for artifacts.
5) RMA the graphics card. 1) Done. My system has a monitor that I have set to warn if any components get above 105
2) Easily. My power supply is 800 watts.
3) First thing I tried.
4) As stated, no other games have issues, including Fallout 3 and New Vegas, Neverwinter, XCom (Enemy Unknown), Borderlands 1 and 2, and many others. I run all of these games with the graphics set very high, if not full bore. FurMark ran, temperature set off system warning alarm at 105, climbed a bit more and bounced between 107 and 108 for four minutes. No crash.
5) I will not RMA a component due to the reaction of a single program. If I can't reproduce the problem with similar programs, the problem is software, not hardware.

I sorry but I have no further suggestions. This is a bit too technical for me and I don't know what else could be causing it.
Maybe someone else can help you better.
Thanks anyway

one thing that can cause this is you might have to manually input your screen resolutions right click your screen make a note of the screen resolution go to your steam right click the game-properties-set launch options when the box appears type in your screen resolutions for example if your resoultion is 1280x101024 type in -w1280 (space)-h1240
Tried this solution, no change.
