graceymanors To be clear, the spawners look like that in Sunset Valley too? And have you made any edits to your .sgr files for the purposes of improving the graphics? I don't mean getting the GPU recognized so much as something HQ mod-related, like increasing texture sizes. And let me know if you're using a shadow extender or ReShade or anything else that changes how the game looks.
I ask because it looks like the graphics engine kind of gave up here, which can happen when it's overloaded. There's noting obviously wrong in your dxdiag, although you have a LOT of background processes running, so much so that your computer's page file is somewhat large and almost all used. I'd suggest going through the Task Manager's Startup tab and disabling anything that doesn't absolutely need to start with Windows, for example Edge or Teams or some update service for a random app that you could just as easily update yourself the next time you open it.

Hi there,
I don't use HQ mods or reshade or anything like that. No, I never edited .sgr files, just getting the GPU recognized, yes the spawners look like that in SV. And its just the butterfly spawners.
In my task manager startup menu, 90% of the things are already disabled. And there's only like 10 things in there. In fact, the only thing not disabled is security health.
graceymanors Then I would suggest trying to play in a clean boot to see whether it helps. The idea is not that you need to play like this going forward, but that it would be useful to find out whether disabling background services makes a difference. Maybe one of these is conflicting with Sims 3, or maybe it's just about the sheer volume. At any rate, it's a quick test:
If you were playing through the EA App, you'd need to leave the EABackgroundService enabled, but it looks like you're currently using your Steam install, so that's not a factor.
When you reboot your computer, go through the Task Manager's background processes list shutting down any service that doesn't absolutely need to be running, for example anything from MSI Afterburner to RGB software might still be enabled. (And please do check this list too.) If you accidentally kill a critical process and it doesn't restart on its own, just reboot your computer again.
Don't open anything other than Sims 3 while testing, not even a browser window.
If this helps, you can selectively reenable services until you find the culprit, then either leave that disabled or (if it belongs to an app you want to keep using) let me know what it is so we can try to fix the underlying issue.

Okay, I will give that a go. I hope its as simple as this and not a graphics card or hardware issue. I literally just paid this PC off.

How long should i play for?

Its still doing it but not as bad.
graceymanors Do you want to try a slightly older graphics driver? You can clean-uninstall the current one and choose one from a few months ago. I think you've used DDU before, but here are the instructions again in case you need them:
To find an older driver, go here:
https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/drivers/
Enter your info, and choose "Game Ready Driver" as the download type, which should allow you to go back to February.

I will give that a go, while I'm trying that, I noticed something peculiar. And I'm not sure how to phrase my question. But my PC is named Autumn. But on the c drive/users its named autum and on there is a sims 3 folder that hasn't been touched in forever. What would be causing this? It's likes a completely different desktop(Not really sure how to phrase this) but under that "autum" is sims 3 along with games I long since uninstalled. Could this be causing issues? Onedrive is disabled. So I don't think its onedrive.

That seemed to have worked. Thanks!
graceymanors Great to hear. You should be able to stay on the older driver for a while without any meaningful consequences, at least if you're not playing any newly-released games. I would keep a copy of the installer handy in case Windows decides to update it without asking first. And it's worth testing a newer driver at some point to see whether the problem is fixed, and with the older one available, you'll know you're not risking anything by trying it.
For the extra data, please list the full path to each questionable folder and let me know what's inside it. For example, maybe it's part of a Sims 3 install: the base game and some packs but not all. (That happened to me with Sims 4 when I first installed it on my current desktop, because Origin is great like that.) And I'd also like to know where the proper equivalent folders are on your computer, as a comparison.
