The Sims 3 trouble with video drivers crashing

I recently downloaded The Sims 3 Showtime from Steam. Each time I try to run it, especially in sim creation mode, my system will have a video driver crash that most often results in a BSOD. In gamepl...

one thing that can cause this is you might have to manually input your screen resolutions right click your screen make a note of the screen resolution go to your steam right click the game-properties-set launch options when the box appears type in your screen resolutions for example if your resoultion is 1280x101024 type in    -w1280 (space)-h1240
