Question about The Lucky Simoleon Casino (Venue)
Sorry for the length of this question. I tried to go through EA Help but they referred me here.
I'm curious about something regarding this venue that's available for purchase... First a bit of back story... I have installed many expansions including Island Paradise and with that I currently own 6 resorts. All of them except one earns between $14,000 to $22,000 a day... The 5 that are making money were all built on "Resort" Lots (within the Town Editor).. The other one I created as a "Casino/Resort" (but also on a Resort Lot).
I purchased both the Slot machine and the Black Jack table (as individual items) through the Sims3 Store (Not with the Lucky Simoleon Casino)..
Both the slot machine and the Black Jack table are working fine in my house. All my Sims use them and lots of money can and has been made from them. I have 7 sims living in my house and all of them are now skill level 10 in gambling.. This got me to thinking I could add some gambling to my resorts and I did place a few slot machines to my high income resorts but few sims use them but from those that do I wondered if my daily revenues from those resorts were enhanced because of those gambling machines..
Which is what lead me to build this 'massive' casino / resort on a 64 x 64 lot.. It has everything a normal resort needs to bring in lots of Sims but also has 2 whole levels of slot machines and black jack tables... And this resort only makes like $8,000 a day in revenue.. Barely a thousand over what it costs to run it. Hardly no sims come to this resort and those that do hardly use the gambling machines... and I'm totally perplexed as to why.
So this leads me to my question.. Is the problem I'm having because I don't actually have my casino / resort on a Casino Lot? And if so, then will my purchase of The Lucky Simoleon Casino Venue, give me this type lot to attach to my Casino through the Town Editor? Then hopefully this casino will be "seen" as a Casino and the sims that come there will do so for gambling purposes?
