@Reame33  Just to clarify, the bonus items from the Showtime edition of Katy Perry are only provided through the old Sims 3 site; they're not going to show up in Origin.  If they're not in your purchase history, then I don't think there's anything you can do, unfortunately.  It may not be possible for EA support to add the items to your account.

For Katy Perry Sweet Treats, how many times is the pack listed in Origin?  How many times are your other owned packs listed?  When you look at your list of packs, are you definitely clicking on the regular Sims 3 icon, and NOT the one that says 64-bit and is Mac only?  (I ask because the entitlements can get bungled for the 64-bit version, but that doesn't affect the 32-bit version.)  When you open the launcher, do you see all your packs except for KPST?

    Showtime Katy Perry: Yes, i get it that this items are only through Sims3 site as a bonus code to redeem, i don't know why they missing or why they are not showing up.

    I see another potential question: "Did you redeem the code back than?" ____ You can definitely call me a liar if you want, but i remember having that KP poster in house. I don't share an account and I haven't played on another account either. I have only this one.



    KP Sweet Treats: I posted again a screenshot of my library. I'm clicking on 32bit windows Sims3, this dlc is here only once. Other packs what i own are here three times. I don't know what that mean or why it is that way. I never played on mac.
    -When i open launcher all packs are here except for KPST, it seems that KPST is not even installed as i say it's only "Unlocked", not "Installed".

    @Reame33  I wasn't going to call you a liar, and I've heard too many other stories of store content disappearing to insist it can't happen.  All I'm saying is that I don't think EA support has any way of fixing it now.

    For KPST, it's strange that the pack is only listed once in your library.  As you've seen, it's normal for owned packs to be listed three times, with some versions "unlocked" and at least one Download button—that's what I see for the Windows version and that's what others report as well.  (It's due to how the 64-bit entitlements were introduced and happened at that versions' release.)  I honestly have no idea why KPST is different for you or what might be done about it.  I'll leave that for EA_Solaire to investigate.  I was just trying to clarify in case there was some other issue that might be addressable.

    I'm sorry I can't help any further or even explain the underlying cause.  All I can tell you is that I haven't seen this particular issue before now.

    Really sorry for the delay on getting back to you @Reame33,

    I hate to be the bearer of bad news for you, but this pack has been retired, which means the support we can offer is very limited- live support won't be able to re-add this pack to your account I'm afraid. 

    Is there any chance that you might have redeemed your original code for Sweet Treats on a different EA account?

    No problem @EA_Solaire ,

    There is 0% chance that i redeemed my original code on a different EA account.

    When i was on live chat, they said on my account side is everything okay, i own license for Sweet Treats. But on thesims3 webpage not. I didn't pay much attention when you(EA/Maxis/...) made changes with the game like 64 for Mac etc. but something must happened cause that dlc is only once on my account and others three times. As i say i don't know what that means. Like if one license is for mac, second for pc and third for linux? And why i have only one? Rly don't now...


    And the worst is that I dont have access to my code anymore. Is redeemed on my origin but thats all. A lot of my own things are gone. So i can't even "re-add" id to my library.


    This kind of problem i had with Need For Speed Pro Street back in days...game wasnt for sale and i have electronic license. But yes it was game made by EA and EA made decision to not sell that good game, this is licensed product.


    So only chance is to buy it for 100€ from some scalper on e-bay? even when i own it...

    It sounds like something's happened to the PC entitlement for Sweet Treats on your account- here on AHQ I don't have access to your account details to take a look and see exactly what's going on. However, I'm afraid that as this DLC has been retired, live support wouldn't have the ability to re-add the pack for you. 

    I'm sorry we can't provide further assistance for this pack, unfortunately the support we can provide for Sweet Treats is extremely limited since this pack is no longer available digitally.

    I have checked with my resources it seems to be a technical glitch.

    In this case, I would suggest you to please share your concern on our official forum: answers.ea.com as we are having the dedicated team over there to provide you the real time resolution.

    So thats why im here. I feel like ping pong ball. Like yea, i know it's retired and so on. Yes, it's my fault that i don't have CD, might be my problem. But you(EA/Maxis/...) created it, you sold it, you need to link my key to origin and you made the game unplayable without origin, you made further decisions and updates with the game and with origin platform...

    I haven't made any changes to my redeemed game or my account, so why shouldn't I be able to access my purchased content?


    I think this is another dead end. So thank you EA_Solaire and puzzlezaddict for trying to help me. Take care!

    @Reame33 Hey, I just wanted to let ya know : although it may not seem so, the OG KPST disc is still sold. You can find it mainly in retail but also simply by searching Katy Perry Sweet Treats CD on Google, then choosing the shopping page provided by Google (like the Google Images page, Google Maps page, Google search page and so on). If you know people that have played TS3 try to ask them if they are selling/giving away packs and expansions CD, this may be very helpful. I do not however know if all content that were included on the Steam/Origin bought pack is available on the original CD, but I am only mentioning this as the online bought version is retired but CD version is still sold in local retail and on pages like Amazon or Google shopping suggestions. I hope it may help you in trying to retrieve all the OG content from KPST.

    i know about CD KPST is still selling, i mention it in one of my replies here. But this not solves my problem. Kind of...

    I already pay for DLC in past and i have it as online license. EA is not providing new copies of online licenses but they should be able to manage the old ones. They sell it to us! Sadly, only thing what they said is they are limited. Origin says i own it but it was somehow delink from my sims3 account. As i say EA online chat marked it as technical bug.

    I remember as everyone said in the past how online licenses are better than CDs and you should buy game online rather than in local store. And here we are.

    Next thing is my desktop PC doesn't have DVD-ROM, is 2022 whose computer has DVD-ROM? You can buy external, sure, but thats another extra money. And shipping for that one CD to my country is double price than product. So if im count right thats about 60€+ for me in costs for 120mb dlc of items which can be easily distributed online for no cost. But yes, license. Also i found some store selling "origin key" for 70€. And question is, will it work or will it bug? And is the key working? I'm definitely not going to try it 🙂

    @Reame33 Just create a new account on Origin, then buy the Origin Key from the website you found, activating it on the new account and then Origin should be able to track down The Sims 3 launcher required for the pack. Usually you see stuff like “you need the base game to unlock packs”, well you already have it on your computer so I figure you’ll be able to get the full pack fully downloaded.

    @MrzTram are you crazy? 70€ for few items to "old" game? :D LOL I will not support scalpers.

    Anyway as i say i own it already, this is my main account. I don't need to creating another.

    You figure but you are not 100% sure. Nice.

    @Reame33 Well then, why are you asking? I figure it would cost way more for the entire Electronic Arts crew and Origin crew to come to your house and use months to only fix your error. This is a retired pack, so I figure it is harder for EA and Origin to continue focusing on fixing errors for 10 year old packs instead of a huge collection of modern gameplay in a 4th generation of more advanced and realistic games. There are a lot of people facing issues with old packs and expansions - fixes takes a lot of time for the crew and there are already tons of content creators capable of creating mods for TS3 and all its content to work properly. And I also HAVE bought an origin key before and it worked PERFECTLY until I realized I didn’t have the base game 😩😂 anyway buying a new key to unlock the pack again would be cheaper, as it would take EA and Origin a lot of money to focus on past bugs and issues when most of this generation rather focuses on TS4 than TS3. I’m just trying to help, so it would mean a lot if you could appreciate people at least TRYING to help rather than complain about it not being a good enough answer 😉 if you don’t like the food, don’t spit it out, just swallow and leave.
