I already pay for DLC in past and i have it as online license. EA is not providing new copies of online licenses but they should be able to manage the old ones. They sell it to us! Sadly, only thing what they said is they are limited. Origin says i own it but it was somehow delink from my sims3 account. As i say EA online chat marked it as technical bug.
I remember as everyone said in the past how online licenses are better than CDs and you should buy game online rather than in local store. And here we are.
Next thing is my desktop PC doesn't have DVD-ROM, is 2022 whose computer has DVD-ROM? You can buy external, sure, but thats another extra money. And shipping for that one CD to my country is double price than product. So if im count right thats about 60€+ for me in costs for 120mb dlc of items which can be easily distributed online for no cost. But yes, license. Also i found some store selling "origin key" for 70€. And question is, will it work or will it bug? And is the key working? I'm definitely not going to try it 🙂
@Reame33 Just create a new account on Origin, then buy the Origin Key from the website you found, activating it on the new account and then Origin should be able to track down The Sims 3 launcher required for the pack. Usually you see stuff like “you need the base game to unlock packs”, well you already have it on your computer so I figure you’ll be able to get the full pack fully downloaded.
- @Reame33 Well then, why are you asking? I figure it would cost way more for the entire Electronic Arts crew and Origin crew to come to your house and use months to only fix your error. This is a retired pack, so I figure it is harder for EA and Origin to continue focusing on fixing errors for 10 year old packs instead of a huge collection of modern gameplay in a 4th generation of more advanced and realistic games. There are a lot of people facing issues with old packs and expansions - fixes takes a lot of time for the crew and there are already tons of content creators capable of creating mods for TS3 and all its content to work properly. And I also HAVE bought an origin key before and it worked PERFECTLY until I realized I didn’t have the base game 😩😂 anyway buying a new key to unlock the pack again would be cheaper, as it would take EA and Origin a lot of money to focus on past bugs and issues when most of this generation rather focuses on TS4 than TS3. I’m just trying to help, so it would mean a lot if you could appreciate people at least TRYING to help rather than complain about it not being a good enough answer 😉 if you don’t like the food, don’t spit it out, just swallow and leave.
