Re: Issue with the Origin login launcher. Won't let me login to play
@MyDeku Just fyi, you don't need to login at either the launcher or Main Menu in order to play. The game itself plays the same whether you're signed in or not. The only reason to login to the launcher is if you're uploading content to the Exchange, and the only benefits to logging in at the Main Menu are uploading memories to your store page, sending in-game gifts to friends (things like elixirs from Supernatural), and uploading your sims' memories, if you enjoy that kind of thing.
If you do want to login, however, you just need to use the same username and password you use to sign into Origin. If that's not working, try clearing Internet Explorer's browser cache. Even if you never use it, the launcher and store do for some purposes. Be sure to uncheck the box to preserve data for favorite sites.
If you still have trouble signing in, change your password in Origin or another EA site. Then clear all your browser caches, including Explorer's, and try again. If that doesn't work either, there's a file in your TS3 game folder that you may need to delete. Go into Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads and trash the file labeled [your email].bin. (It might be your sister's email, if you're sharing an account.)
Also, once your game is registered to your Origin account, it's also added to your store account. So even if you did have the codes, you wouldn't be able to register them in the store anyway.
