Bridgeport gets stuck on loading screen. Every other town works fine.

4 pt

My game gets stuck on 3/4 loading screen when trying to load Bridgeport, it happens with old save and trying to start a new one. I literally tried everything I could find on internet to solve this problem. Every other game based/EP/store town loads, no problem. Yes, I deleted and then installed newest CC++, version 64x and 86x, even the old ones (meaning 2005 and 2008, bc sims 3 works on these C++). I reinstalled all game, reinstalled only Late Night. Yes, I have DirectX 9, newer and the newest version. Yes, I deleted cache files, I run EAApp as administrator, I used "repair game" in EA App, I even reinstalled EA App and used option "repair". No matter what, Bridgeport gets stuck, then after 30 minutes game crashes. Please, help, anybody.

I also used puzzlezaddict advices, and here is what it is: created new local windows profile without mods: it did load Brigdeport. When I added mods, same thing happened. Forever loading screen. I don't even know which mod might have caused this, because I merged it all with CC magic (I had over 5k files, so my game was slow af).

I post it here, because I can't replay anymore on AHQ.

  • If playing without the mods worked, then obviously at least one of the mods conflicts. Since it doesn't effect other worlds, it might be a mod that effects vampires.

It is possible to switch between different sims 3 folders. So you could have a Sims 3 game without your current merged mod files just for playing Bridgeport. Just rename your sims 3 folders to sims3mods and sims3Bridgeport. Then rename the folder you want to play to delete the "mods" or the "Bridgeport" on end depending on which you want to play.
