Hi @BunnyHugger2000,

The Sims 3 discs and Windows 10 don't always get along well. If you want to play The Sims 3 on Windows 10, it's better to download and install the games through Origin.

To do so, please follow these steps:

If you don't have it installed, download and install the Origin client.
If you haven't done it before in thesims3.com or Origin, redeem your The Sims 3 game codes. To redeem your codes:
1. Open Origin
2. Log in with the EA Account where you want to add the games (each code can only be registered once, and to be able to install expansion or stuff packs, the base game must be in the same account).
3. Click the Origin menu > Redeem Product Code...
Once registered, the game will be in your Origin library. You can click on it to start the download and installation of the game.

Yes this is a necro, but I have an issue with this. I can't download all my EP's via origin, and I don't even want origin on my new PC. I bought every single thing I have from Game UK on disc, and that's all EP's and SP's but despite registering them on the sims 3 website right away after installing, I look in origin and loads are missing. I did contact customer service once about this and was told that my activation codes had been used, yeah by me. I think I remember one of them telling me my activation code was invalid too, these are games I purchased through the most reputable supplier in the UK.
So, come up with a solution that allows me to install all of my EP's and SP's from disc, don't be lazy, this is hundreds of £££'s worth of stuff.

@lydiakettle I think you're the same person who's posting on the official Sims forums right now, and if so, you're already getting exactly the right advice. If you're not, let me know, and I'll try to help.

Just to be clear though, here's an easy way to install from disc, as long as you meet a couple of requirements. But EA employees are always going to recommend installing via Origin, because that's what EA wants everyone to do. Besides, only Origin installs are officially supported these days, so the community managers would of course post that recommendation on EA's official help site.

@petrovapetrova When Sims 3 is installed, open your Origin game library, click on the Sims 3 icon, select More > Expansion Packs, and click on the Download button for each pack you own. Do the same thing for More > Stuff Packs.
