I've attached it but it seems to be the same issue everyone else is having. I just want to play the games I own.
Well, it seems EA has fixed whatever issue was happening because I turned my computer on today and noticed the EA app had changed its icon on my desktop, I assume the launcher had an update. When I clicked play it launched the Sims 3 launcher like it used to do. So it seems they solved it.
II am happy for you, but unfortunately in my case it did not work. I still have this error.
although the launcher opened correctly it says its already running when trying to actually start the game it says its already running

Hey all,
The latest release for the EA app contains a fix for the issue discussed in this thread.
To force an update to the latest version you can perform the following steps:
- Force close the EA app and EABackgroundService via task manager.
- Locate and run the EAUpdater.exe in C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\EA Desktop\EA Desktop or whatever directory you installed the app in.
This should force the update.
If you are still unable to launch The Sims 3 on the EA app after these steps please run an EA Error Report and post your Error Report ID here.

Updated the EA app in hopes the sims 3 would run again. The game launcher now opens, but when I press play it pauses for a few second and then opens the EA app again. Ther is no more pop up, but it still does not run. I also repaired my game and then cleared my cashe after doing this. Sent a report in. I will be uninstalling everything again
@gwyn_1881 If you can get the launcher open, you've gotten past this particular error. One common reason the game might not launch after you press Play in the launcher is if your computer has a 12th- or 13th-gen Intel processor. In that case, please see the accepted solution in this thread:

Hi there. Ive been trying to get the Sims 3 to launch for ages now with no luck. I tried force closing like you said in your reply but had no luck. Ive attactched the Report Id

- @EA_Cade Nothing worked. Sims 3 failed to launch. Uninstalled EA app, Origin client with "russian" method works, Sims 3 and Medieval starts without errors. EA should fix this bug in EA app or allow players to use Origin!!!

Yes I am currently having the same Error message “Failed To Launch Game An error on our end caused the launch to fail. Try again a little later.”
EA fix your app please. I’m a beyond annoyed customer and gamer. The sims 3 has worked before on this computer Hp Pavilion G series.
@Agmolly210 Just in case there's something contributing to the issue on your end, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post, and I'll take a look.

@puzzlezaddict Thank you for your help I fixed the problem with the help from Sim gamer’s on YouTube and had to do set app as administrator and other things like the YouTubers said in their tutorial videos but I was finally able to launch the game and have been playing with one of the bin families it’s the Glover family they have been cool to play with so far.

I made my error report of me opening the sims 3 launcher and then being returned to the ea app which is stupid since I have put so much money into this game and even in turn can no longer play my game.

@plcboo This thread is a bit old and may no longer be relevant, as EA resolved most if not all of the issues causing this problem. So what exactly are you seeing when you try to play Sims 3? Please describe it, including a screenshot or the full text of any error message you get.
Please also run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.
