- @LeazesnDR Well said.
I'm pretty sure there are some cheaters on Xbox as well. Even on arcade mode with the amount of randomness some of the scores are near impossible to shoot. The last dunes tournament had a few driveable par 4s, but there was a lot of tailwind and you had a pretty small landing area. With the randomness of the drive direction and the tailwind just getting one ball to stop on the green is a great shot. To replicate that a few times plus get another hole out all in the same round seems pretty unattainable. If it was all skill based then i could see it, but even with almost max drive accuracy, legend driver spec, legend ball spec my driver landing area is pretty large. Missing by a yard or 2 could be the difference between hitting the green or not. Hitting like 3-4 miracle shots in one round seems a bit much. Even if you know the game perfectly you just can not fully account for the randomness of some shots

What sort of scores were they? I know the arcade mode is free to enter and unlimited tries. If the wind stays the same each time you play it there will be people who literally play it over and over searching for that perfect score, whilst writing down where best to land for each hole, club selection etc.
I hit 17 under par on that New Zealand course last night playing career on tour mode, and from past experience im still thinking its 3/4 shots short of winning an 18 hole tourney. I finally have some free coins now so going to enter the tour mode tourney tonight and see how i do. Ive not even monitored the type of score that is winning it so will take a look tonight. As long the wind stays below about 12mph im pretty confident of getting an under par chance on every hole.
The unlimited trys on arcade helps people tho u can keep trying till your happy with score...I re tried the one what's on there at moment kept getting -2 lol then on my 4th attempt igot -4..just was playing bad even on arcade...but iunderstand what some people are saying
- @theycagednon I want to say the leader was -14 for 9. I had about as good of a round you could have and was still off by 2 shots. I know you can get approaches pretty dialed in, but driving the par 4s with a small landing area and very lumpy FWs is not consistently possible with the randomness. Even with max power and maybe hitting a 3w you still would have a decent sized dispersion circle where you have no room for error. I have shot many perfect rounds in Links or Shot Online, but if you aimed right and executed your shot you knew where the ball was going. This game you can execute perfectly and still miss your target by several yards especially with a driver or wood. Theoretically you could play the first hole till you holed out but you would still have to play above flawless the rest of the way

The other factor is that rough and sand just aren't that difficult to get out of, in fact as long as there are no trees in the way ill just play a normal shot out of them 95% of the time as it behaves the same way.
14 under on arcade for 9 holes doesn't seem that hard to achieve for the top players id say, bear in mind with spin applied after the shot, coupled with the maths they use to work out where to hit, holing out 3/4 times in 9 holes is doable. its personally why i dont play it and stick to tour mode.
I think 20 under for 18 holes on Tour will be a good score for top 10/20 on the standings, and this is about the level you had to be on previous EA golf games to be up there.
i love seeing scores of -12 and -11 on 4holes lol what a joke!
@CkYMaximus wrote:i love seeing scores of -12 and -11 on 4holes lol what a joke!
Again though, is that on PC? where somebody above mentioned a hack that allows for score reset. Or is this on console? ive only seen 5 or 6 under on the 4 hole challenges on console so far.
@CkYMaximus wrote:i love seeing scores of -12 and -11 on 4holes lol what a joke!
Haha, no joke? There is obviously cheats on PC...hacks are made for almost every game. If you know code, it wouldn't be hard.
I haven't seen those scores on 4-hole...that would be ridiculously suspicious. I have seen 8-under on 4 hole, with 2 par-4s (not driveable), a par-5, and a par-3. There are various ways to get that score but even still that seems wild to me. To eagle 2 par-4s, get an albatross or hole in one, then the make up for the 8 under...I mean, wow.
However, I did a 6 under, ALMOST 7 under, but I screwed up the last hole. I believe that was arcade on Xbox with 2 par-5s, a par-4, and a par-3. I hit an albatross on a par-5 (pure luck). 7 under was definitely doable.
Yeah I've a -6 with a hole in one lol -7 is possible on some courses if some luck is involved iwould say..I'm on xbox btw
I can definitely see -20s on tour i had a -17 with mistakes. I look at it on a course by course or tournament basis. I think the tournament i was referring to was the arcade brandon dunes weekly. I think there are 2 par 5s so your looking at -11. Like I said a couple par4s are reachable, but eagling them both is highly unlikely. I have 7 power, and my golfer is rated 94. I had to crush a power drive and there was like a 12 mph tailwind. My dispersion circle was much wider than the necessary landing zone. Assuming the ball landed on the fw you had to get great bounces coupled with spin to get on / hold the green. With 2 eagles there you would still need a hole out somewhere. I have done a huge amount of challenges and even holing out simple chips can be tricky when hitting the same shot over and over. The one challenge you had to hole out 2 shots and you had 5 shots at each one. I was able to complete it, but your looking holing out 2/10 shots with repetitive chances. In a tournament you only get one crack at each shot. The only shot that seems consistent is putting and i have just enough stats for the texas wedge. You can know all the maths, hit a perfect shot and the ball won't go the same place twice. Even with added spin there is no guarantee it will go in. I just don't see people being able to pull off 3 miracle shots per round with the way the game is designed currently. I play both tour and arcade arcade is fun just to whack it around. If i have a bad tour round i don't restart it is not worth wasting the VC. Hopefully they introduce H2H turn based play and people prove me wrong
Yes this is on PC. And you know some person is not playing a 4 hole course over and over to shoot -12 to get 1500 coins! Pretty sure these people just load hack play once and done.
If they would add ghost replays we could weed out the hackers.
- @theycagednon I've seen -7 on 4 holers on Xbox. Have never seen scores beyond that, def not -12

Across basically all games cheating seems to be principally a very depressing aspect of PC gaming which sadly doesn't look like going away any time soon. Why anyone finds it fun or thinks they're impressing anyone is beyond me.

Yep, I’ll stick to my console and MacBook 😉…. As you say it’s all pretty pathetic isn’t it, unimpressive.

cheaters never win
winners never cheat
i play on pc and would NEVER use a cheat in an online game, just not worth the chance of getting caught
just about any game i play, i can keep up with the "best" of them (if i put the effort into it) but sometimes its just not worth the time and effort because someone will use some kind of cheat to beat your score or whatever it is you have done well.
so.. you wanna cheat? go play a single player game where no one cares what youre doing, dont bring your stink into the multiplayer realm!
Just got my best score on tour on xbox -7 chuffed to bits...see how long it lasts 🤣
- @ragingsaint I know in Links we always thought one guy was cheating. He won almost every LS Tour event. My one teammate managed to beat him a couple times but it was rare. The one tournament the top so many went down south and played for prizes and got to meet sergio garcia. My teammate qualified and the guy who constantly won did not play that great in person. However this kid seemed to be autistic and socially awkward so we all felt bad for thinking he was cheating. I did manage play with him online a few times and he was decent enough to think his scores were possible. Most of the other upper guys would play with / against each other so we knew the scores were more than likely legit

I just hit a 17 under par on that NZ course the other day on Tour, and thats with some mistakes/missed putts too so i can see its definitely doable if you can stay consistent. I don't do all the maths like some people do either. The 18 under par that is winning the weekly Tour tourney on Xbox is definitely beatable too, i think im on like 14 under or something and i made loads of silly errors.

12 under on the 4 holes on tpc scottsdales, someone going to tell me thats possible... btw im on pc
Noticed the same thing and took a pic of it. And no. Nobody is that good in this game.
just seen that, hole in 1 at all holes inc a par 5. if that person is that good they should start a youtube channel, wouldnt be long til they would be making a good living playing video games.
Are people reporting these alleged cheaters?
