Hybrid energy regeneration doesn't work with fanatec clubsport v3 pedals

I don't know if this is a general issue with every pedals on ps5, but with fanatec clubsport v3 pedals hybrid energy regeneration doesn't work at all. I've done the calibration and brake works fine, but energy doesn't regenerate. It's annoying. You can't compete in time trials without hybrid energy. Hybrid energy regeneration worked just fine in WRC generations. Please fix this.

go to key bindings press x on accelerate and you get option to customize deadzone and saturation add 1% deadzone and it should be fine (1 did it for me u might need more) also make sure you have deadzones for clutch and handbrake, its very particular about getting only brake input for regen

  • Do a time trial, then go to Racenet and look up the Analysis for that trial. You're looking for the maximum braking points on the Brake graph. Once you find those points, check your Accelerator inputs at those exact moments. They will almost certainly be above 0.

Once you have that, go into your Pedal settings and set your dead zone to around 1-3 points higher than your minimum inputs under braking. That will zero out your throttle when braking and allow the hybrid system to generate charge.

  • @JoyDriver I've tried every suggestion, but no help. On ps5 you can't change the pedal dead zone. It's all grayed out. I don't know if that was another bug itself because in other racing games I can do that. I can only change the wheel settings. Pedal settings I can't. Pedals are connected to the wheelbase and the wheelbase to ps5.
  • I agree, regen is too sensitive to a very special pedal sequence and almost impossible on loose gravel.  EA needs to make the whole hybrid system more forgiving and user friendly (like actually it is in real life)

  • Setting deadzones for acceleration and clutch fixed the regen for me on T300 on PS5. However, every time I lift the gas pedal even from just 50% acceleration which doesn't even use the power, all available e-power gets emptied immediately. Same happens if I lift the gas a bit at the first acceleration from the start.

Also, I don't know if it's the intended behavior or not, but while the e-power lasts for 10 seconds at launch, it only lasts 2-3 seconds if it has been regenerated from braking.

The regen system clearly needs several fixes. Don't know if it's wheel model specific or not.

@poorwretch Thanks, I added 1% deadzone both brake and throttle and that fixed the issue. Deadzone of throttle helped little, but the deadzone of brake was a game changer.

That is still not correct versus how Hybrid should be working.  For example no reason handbrake usage should cancel regen.  But ok.
