Yeah I know this was supposed to be Dirt Rally 3.0 and it makes me sad. All I can say is the game FEELS like a step back from Dirt Rally 2.0 instead of forward when it comes to the sim aspect of it. I know DR2.0 isn't anywhere near something like Richard Burns Rally (I play both these titles actively) when it comes to simulation, but it still is the best/closest modern AAA rally sim we have. So like many other sim enjoyers I was hoping they go more into that direction with WRC, especially since they keep releasing Arcade Dirt racers too.
But then I get in the car in WRC and I have to do these regularity races and weird career team management, cockpit cameras don't feel good/can't be adjusted, I can't turn off the unrealistic camera movement, the AI is easy to beat... I could go on, but it just doesn't feel like they tried to make the game better at the sim aspect. It's not a bad game, but I tried playing it like a sim and it somehow doesn't really work for me so far. Maybe later when I'm done with the career (only playing since ~2 weeks).
[e] just saw a post here about triple screens (Add triple monitor support with free Unreal Engine plugin - Answer HQ) kinda makes my point. How can a "sim" game in 2024 not come with proper triple screen support when this is probably the most widely used setup for people that are serious about sim racing?
